The government portal for Coronavirus Statutory sick pay rebate scheme.
This portal can be accessed through the Government Gateway using your ID. This will give businesses that had less than 250 employees on 28th February 2020 and were not in ‘Financial Difficulty’ on 31st December 2019 the ability to reclaim Statutory Sick pay relating to employees who were unable to work due to Covid-19 Illness, from 13 March 2020 or if the employee is shielding following public health advice and where they are in receipt of a letter from their GP or the NHS from 16th April 2020.
When making your claim for a refund you will need the following information:
Your employer PAYE reference number
Your contact name and telephone number
UK Bank and building society details for BACS payment
The total amount of Covid-19 SSP paid to qualified employees
The number of employees being claimed for
The start and end dates of your claim.
There will also be several declarations that will have to be made including:
A declaration that your business was not in financial difficulty on 31st December 2019
A declaration confirming the amount of state aid received by your business does not exceed the maximum amount. (800,000 euros)
A declaration that all details in your claim are true and correct.

If you are making a claim please remember:
The SSP rate changed from £94.25 p.w. to £95.85p.w. on 6th April 2020
The maximum period for which SSP can be paid is 28weeks.
